An ELA technology standard for the sixth grade is to explain information in diverse media and formats and translate how it is connected to the student's main point they are reporting about. For this the student will have to be able to make graphs, timelines, video/ media albums, charts, spreadsheets, and a word processing software all online. I feel prepared to implement this standard based on my current skill set. This is because I have been able to develop all these tools to contribute to my school work in the past to connect diverse information to my subject material.
The resource that I found for the English Arts subject are detailed, visual tutorials based off of subject matter for the class. I have found that sometimes with certain concepts a teacher is not able to get the student to understand that concept. For example, paraphrasing is something a student may really struggle with grasping and the teacher has tried everything to assist the student. This resource has a video "Planet Paraphrase" which gives the student the opportunity to watch the tutorial with the teacher giving visualizations and details in a new way that may help the student better comprehend the material.
It is important for a teacher to be a proficient internet searching because a teacher may need to answer a question of their own to then give the answer to class in a timely and successful manner. Also, the teacher does not want to give out an incorrect answer or false information to the class. I was not aware of the advanced search feature that helps you narrow down the amount of answers to your more detailed google search. I will probably use this the most moving forward because of how easy it is to use and of the more direct results.
